Many teachers struggle with finding the proper way to implement important STEM activities in their own classroom. They know that they can be essential to their students’ success in the future, but don’t know where to begin. This workshop will remedy that problem by introducing participants to the basics of using STEM design challenges in the K-8 classroom. We will go over tons of engaging challenges including catapults, roller coasters, boats, towers, the egg drop, as well as some quick “unplugged” activities. After learning the why these are so important for students, participants will actually get to participate in some of the challenges themselves. Resources and materials will be provided for you to begin implementing these into your class on Monday. So get ready to have some fun while learning about STEM design challenges!
